Richard Ferris - BA(Ed) Hons, MSc Ed Leadership, NPQH, NA-SEN, FCCT, NLE

Richard has over 25 years’ experience in the education sector, with 20 years as a senior leader in primary education, and over 8 years as a Headteacher. In 2022, Richard was appointed as a National Leader of Education by the DfE.

Richard holds the NPQH qualification and is also an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead, SENCO and Behaviour lead. He has experience in managing a school through major rebuilds and rebrands.

As a qualified Special Needs Coordinator, holding the NA-SEN qualification, Richard places ‘ambition for all’ at the heart of his educational philosophy, Richard has been successful in leading schools to close the disadvantaged gap for its pupils, whilst ensuring outcomes for all pupils remain high.

Richard holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, is a Fellow of the Charted College of Education, and has over 20 years’ experience as a school governor.
