Headteacher at Hamilton School
Sarah Concannon - B Sc, PGCE
Sarah has been a teacher for over 20 years and has worked with SEMH children for the past eight years. She was previously Assistant Headteacher and Maths Lead for Chiltern Way Academy, Wokingham, a primary and secondary school for children with ASC and SEMH needs.
In 2015, Sarah helped set up and was Centre Manager of Aspire@Wokingham, an initiative by Wokingham Borough Council to provide education and employment skills for children aged 14 – 16 years with SEMH needs and who were not in full-time education. Unfortunately, the Centre was closed after two years due to lack of funding but during her tenure running Aspire@Wokingham 90% of the students moved on to positive pathways, whether to college or on to apprenticeships.
Sarah brings a wide range of qualities to her role as Headteacher and looks forward to working with the students, parents, staff, and the Maiden Erlegh Trust in guiding Hamilton School on its journey.
